Prakash (ಘನಪಾಠಿ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ): I knew my grandfather only from his 60s up, but have heard that he went through several jobs - much like any middle class person to support his family. He later found his niche as a teacher and set ip an educational initiative called 'Vijaya Gurukula' in Gundlupet. The 'Gurukula' in its prime was much sought after by students in the surrounding areas. Among his favourite students was Abdul Nazir Sab, who later became the Panchayat Raj Minister in Ramakrishna Hegde Cabinet (and is often credited with pioneering the Panchayat Raj System in Karnataka). I also remember facilitating some interactions between my grandfather and Bannanje Govindacharya during the late 1970s, when I was a student at Surathkal (NITK).
